Countdown to Christmas Break!

Just two more days to get up early! I know I'll be out and about trying to finish up the Christmas shopping, but I'll be able to get started at my own pace.

Gift Boxes

Here are a few of the gift boxes I made for an online swap with other Stampin' Up demonstrators. Inside I stamped a variety of gift tags. These were fun to make and not too difficult. I hope you enjoy them.

Stampin' Up's Retired Lists are out!

The retired list for stamp sets is up for everyone to see at www.stampinup.com so make sure you check it out. There are many great sets that are leaving us and will not be in the next catalog. Yesterday, the retired accessories list came out and I can't believe all the designer double-sided paper that will also be gone at the end of December. I just wonder where all the extra items go after the sale is over. I wonder if there is a giant warehouse sale out in Utah? Wouldn't that be a great place to visit!

I'll try to get the retired lists linked to this site tomorrow....if I can figure this out. I'm still learning. I sure wish I had someone to help me with this blog so mine looked as good as others' blogs that I've bookmarked.

December is Here!

Welcome to December. Here in Georgia it's still warm enough for only a light jacket.

I guess you can see that I just can't get into the habit of posting on a blog. I do like to read and bookmark others' sites. I love the ones from fellow stampers. The blogs with the pictures and tutorials are my favorites. Maybe one day I'll get this thing down and start to load pictures of my stamping creations too. I have some things I think others would like to see so maybe that will be my New Year's Resolution....to keep up with my blog. At least that will be easier than my usual one of losing weight and working out more often! Maybe with this one I'll be successful.

Back to Work! YUCK!

Summer is over for me and I'm back to work. The kids come back on Monday so the teachers are busy getting our rooms ready and trying to remember what it was like having to get up early.

"Tax Free" weekend is this weekend for Georgia and Tennessee. That's for items that are considered for educational purposes or clothing. Now is the time to place those orders from Stampin' Up that fall under that category. Check www.stampinup.com for the list of approved items.

New Friends

I finally have met another Stampin' Up demonstrator who is willing to share what she knows with me. Thanks, Pam! Tonight I met with her and her club members and made three very cute cards. Hopefully we can become good friends.

Summer Fun

I just got back from a two week vacation to Alaska. We did a 4 day land tour then boarded Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas for seven days at sea. It was great. My pictures are wonderful but still don't do it justice. If you ever get a chance to go....GO! Now I have to find a way to scrap some of the pictures.

After two weeks in Alaska, I went to the beach with several girlfriends. I went from one extreme to the other. Both places are beautiful.

Now I'm home to do the normal summer stuff like doctor's appointments and errands that are difficult to do once school starts. I start back to work on July 31. Short summer!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

I know, I know I live in the south but it's still cold outside. Then I checked online and it said wind chill in Chicago was 35 below. Oh Well, maybe it's not so cold here after all.

We joined a gym yesterday. This is my 2nd day of working out. I won't be able to move tomorrow. I hope I can keep this up because I so need to get in shape and lose weight. I've become an old woman....an old fat, out of shape woman. In my mind I'm still in my 20's or 30's. Where did time go?
