School Starts in Georgia

What can I say? Here in Georgia we are now starting back to school the first week of August. Yes! I said AUGUST! The good thing is that we're out at the end of May before a lot of other states. This begins my 22nd year of teaching at the same elementary school. I guess I'll have to change my stamping hours and not stay up till midnight......hmmmm, well, maybe

I've been trying to get some new ideas for stamping with my customer friends. I've made the cute box that holds 3x3 cards. I'll try to get the pictures posted soon.

This weekend has been my time to place orders with Stampin' Up. I've ordered several new stamp sets and punches. That should get me motivated to create when that order comes in.

It's time to decide on a Christmas card...any suggestions?

Summertime and Life is Good

School's out and I've made it through my 21st year! Wow! Sure didn't think I'd still be doing this, but it's a good job. I'm fortunate to work with the people at my school and the kids are special too.

This is my 3rd year, I think, of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. My business isn't growing much but it's still fun and I think I'm one of my best customers. I'm happy with my group of stampin' buddies. I have made some good friends through Stampin' Up. Maybe one day I'll get out there and host more workshops, etc.

I'm thinking of adding another blog...since I'm so active on this one...ha! A childhood friend has started a travel blog for friends and family to learn more about her journeys. I think that's a great idea and I may just do the same. I think I'd do a better job of that since I only travel during the summer. Now to think of a name for the new blog....

Birthday Cards

I'm trying to build up a larger variety of birthday cards. I never seem to give away or send the cards I make......is there anyone else out there like me? I just love creating them. They are hard for me to give. Anyway, I'm going to try to be better about this. I've started using up some of my retired papers to make cards to have on hand. Here are a few that I've made this month.

Spring Has Sprung!

It's March and today is beautiful. It's my husband's birthday and I just had to make him a card. He got a kick out of it and I hope you do too. I used the Big Shot Top Note die which is my favorite.

Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book and Catalog

The new Stampin' Up catalog is now available and you can order from it on January 19, 2009. I have looked through the catalog and marked pages and pages of things that interest me. There are many new items to go with the Big Shot, so now I have to decide what all I want to order. I think I've become one of my best customers! Now if I can just find a way to make some sort of order out of my stamping room. There is a method to my madness but I'm not sure right now if I can even find things I need.

I'm searching for new ideas to use in my upcoming workshops. Cards are always good, but I love 3-D items and one of these days I'm going to scrapbook some pictures. I see books other people have made and it makes me want to do it but making the decisions of photos, paper, accessories, etc is very overwhelming for me. I need help!

I love the fact that customers can view the catalog online and even place orders now on my Stampin' With Ginger site. How cool is that! You can order any time of day or night and the order will be delivered right to your house. I think that's a great thing!

Another thing that has improved with Stampin' Up is that all sets in the new catalog are precut. YEAH!!! I know everyone will be happy to hear that. What a time saver that is.

I can't wait to see the UPS man pull up in front of my house with my new stamps!

With Sympathy

A friend is mourning the loss of her father-in-law this week and I just had to make a card.

Happy New Year

It's hard to believe that's it's 2009! I've always heard that times flies and now I'm seeing it. The new Stampin' Up catalog is due to arrive any day and I can't wait to see what new sets will be available. I hope Stampin' Up has outdone itself this year! Contact me if you'd like to order. I'm sure there will be something there for all of us.

New Cards

Here are some more cards that I've tried. I like to make one to see how long it takes and see if I'd want to make more. Some I like and some I don't. See what you think.

Hoping to Turn Over a New Leaf

It's beautiful in Georgia this Fall. I guess being in a drought has been good for something. I've also been a drought when it came to updating this blog. I don't know how the rest of you keep so current with yours. I'm going to try to do better.

I know it's after Halloween but here are a few of the things I made. One for an online swap and the other for gifts. These are little peppermint patty covers made to look like spiders. I used all Stampin' Up punches and papers. I don't remember who I CASED this from but I want to thank you. They were a hit at a church lunch.

I also CASED this cute Frankie box. It was a great way to try out my new dies from the Big Shot and my new Scor-Pal. I love them both!
